Adam Betts

Adam joined LDB in September 2014 after working at two large mid-tier accounting and advisory firms for six and a half years.

Adam builds close relationships with his clients, a number of which have been long standing clients of his. His passion to better understand his clients’ goals, in business and life, enables him to provide holistic advice and provide support in other areas, not just in accounting and advisory.

Adam is adept at identifying opportunities to improve his clients’ situations by incorporating other services within the business to boost their financial position and provide peace of mind on other matters, such as insurance.

Adam’s experience in larger firms has equipped him with sound knowledge across many industries – an asset he shares with LDB clients today. He has worked with clients in gaming and hospitality (which includes both cafes, restaurants, and licensed venue), IT, plumbing and electrical trades, manufacturing, property investment, property development, back office support – including cash management and payroll as well as reporting to boards/committees, fitness and tennis coaching, art and design, print and digital media, and health professionals and medical practices.

Adam has extensive experience using accounting software and transitioning clients to cloud-based solutions. As such, he is LDB’s main contact with MYOB, Xero and Reckon.

Adam holds a Bachelor of Commerce and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Australia and New Zealand.

Outside of work, Adam enjoys spending time with his wife, newborn baby and their family pet dog, as well as running and going to the footy. Adam is also involved on a committee of a local tennis club, the Viewbank Tennis Club.
