The Victorian Government is working to ensure that every business owner in Victoria has a COVIDSafe Plan in place and understands their responsibilities to keep workers and customers safe.

Every Victorian business that is open must follow the six COVIDSafe principles to help prevent future outbreaks of coronavirus (COVID-19).

COVIDSafe Plan template is available to help businesses plan and take action to prevent the introduction of coronavirus (COVID-19) in the workplace.

New guidance, which includes Industry Restart Guidelines and Industry Restriction Levels, have been developed for some sectors to help them plan for a safe reopening.

A pack is available that provides important information on the six COVIDSafe principles, including fact sheets, social media assets and templates.

Businesses can also access a collection of signage, posters and questionnaires to assist in communicating key messages to workers and customers. Printing of the campaign materials can be purchased through Officeworks.

Coronavirus (COVID-19) translated information for people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds is also available online for businesses and industry.

Please share this information with your stakeholders and encourage them to communicate the important need for businesses and workers to understand their responsibilities in ensuring a COVIDSafe workplace.

Victorian Government Authorised Officers are closely monitoring and inspecting businesses to ensure they are following the six COVIDSafe principles. There are significant penalties, including fines and prohibition notices, for businesses that fail to comply.

We must do everything we can to keep our communities safe and prevent unexpected cases of coronavirus (COVID-19).
